The BOM’s Canberra radar covers the region but is partially blocked by mountains. For high‑resolution local echoes, our Thredbo weather radar page uses a specialised feed. Use it alongside the BOM forecast.

For broader regional weather, visit our Australia weather hub or check the BOM Weather Australia page. If heavy snow or wind is expected, read the Severe Weather Warning page. For radar imagery, head to Weather Radar.
